XAT 2026

XAT is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI — one of the older MBA entrance exams in India. Students mainly take it for a shot at XLRI's own programmes, and access to the wider group of B-schools that use the score for shortlisting. According to the official XAT website, the score is accepted by 250+ B-schools across India, so a single application opens the door to a large pool of MBA/PGDM programmes, not just XLRI. Each institute still runs its own admission process after XAT, with its own shortlisting rules and cutoffs — a good score doesn't guarantee identical treatment everywhere.
