Compare Colleges in Pune — side by side, on the same fields

Two or three colleges, the same rows, no marketing in between. Fees, placement, accreditation, ranking and courses lined up so the differences are the only thing you are reading.

CollegePune's own data

1

Pick the colleges you are deciding between

Field by field

What is being compared — and what each row hides

Every row is the same for each college, which is the point. These are the places a straight read can still mislead you.

Fees

Shown as a range, because it varies by course and category.

Watch out: Compare the same course, and compare total cost across all years — not year one.

Placement

Average and highest package as the college reports them.

Watch out: Averages are pulled up by outliers, and 'eligible' is defined differently by each institute. A small gap is noise.

Accreditation

NAAC grade and cycle for the institution.

Watch out: The grade is institution-wide. Two colleges on the same grade can differ sharply in your department.

Ranking

NIRF rank where the institute participated.

Watch out: Participation is voluntary — an absent rank is not a bad rank.

Courses

The programmes each college is approved to run.

Watch out: Confirm your branch exists at both before the rest of the comparison means anything.

How it works

3 steps, in this order

Comparison puts the same fields side by side for every college you pick, so you are reading like against like instead of jumping between two profile pages and trying to hold the numbers in your head.

01

Add the colleges

Pick them from search, or use the compare button on any college card while you browse.

02

Read across one row at a time

Each row is a single field — fees, placement, accreditation, cutoff — across every selected college. Rows, not columns, are where the decision gets made.

03

Narrow to a genuine shortlist

Drop anything that fails a hard constraint (budget, course not offered, location) and compare what remains on the fields you actually care about.

Why this tool

What it handles for you

Like for like

Every college is described with the same rows, so a gap in one college's record shows up as a gap instead of being papered over.

Fees as total cost

Compare the full course cost rather than a first-year figure — the difference between two colleges usually widens across the degree.

Placement next to fees

The two numbers that decide most arguments, put next to each other rather than on separate pages.

Accreditation and ranking

NAAC grade and NIRF rank sit in the same view, so an unranked college with a strong grade is not invisible.

Courses actually offered

Confirms the branch you want exists at both — the most common reason a comparison turns out to be moot.

Shareable with the people paying

One page that answers the whole question is easier to hand to a parent than four college pages and a memory of what each said.

Data basis

What is being compared, and the traps in each field

  • Fees: shown as a range because it varies by course and category. Compare the same course, and compare total cost across all years rather than year one.
  • Placement: averages are pulled up by outliers, and each institute defines 'eligible' and 'placed' differently. Treat a small gap between two colleges as noise.
  • Accreditation: a NAAC grade is institution-wide. Two colleges with the same grade can differ a lot in the department you care about.
  • Cutoffs: only comparable within the same exam, category and branch.
  • Anything not in the table — teaching quality, commute, campus culture, how responsive the administration is — does not show up here and often matters more.

Compare the branch, not only the badge

A college that wins overall can still be the weaker choice for your specific branch. Check the course-level cutoff and placement before the institute-level one decides it for you.

Guidance

Comparing well

  • Compare three or four colleges at most. Beyond that every column starts to look the same and the exercise stops helping.
  • Fix your hard constraints first and only compare the colleges that already clear them.
  • When two colleges look equal on paper, the tie-breaker is almost always commute, department reputation or fees — not a one-point ranking gap.
  • Visit or speak to a current student before committing. No table captures what the place is like.
FAQs

Compare Colleges — frequently asked questions

Can I compare more than 2 colleges at once?

Yes — add a third college in the third slot and the comparison table adds a column for it automatically.

Where do the numbers come from?

Every figure — fees, placements, NAAC grade, NIRF rank, recruiters — comes from CollegePune's own verified college database, computed live. Nothing is AI-generated or estimated.

What does "Recommended by CollegePune" mean?

It means our counselling team has reviewed that college and rates it well for its category — it's a human judgement layered on top of the data, not a ranking algorithm.

How current is the underlying data?

College records — fees, courses, accreditation, placement and cutoff figures — come from CollegePune's own published database and are revised as institutes release new information. Always confirm the final figure against the college's official admission notice before you pay anything, because institutes can revise fees mid-cycle.

Is this tool free, and do I have to sign up?
