The Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination (AMUEEE) is the gateway for students aspiring to join the prestigious engineering and architecture programs at Aligarh Muslim University. It is a competitive examination that assesses candidates on their knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, which are the core subjects of the Class 12 science curriculum. The examination is conducted offline in a pen-and-paper format. For B.Tech and B.E. programs, the exam consists of a single paper with 150 multiple-choice questions. The candidates are given 3 hours to complete the test. A distinct feature of the AMUEEE is its marking scheme, where one mark is awarded for each correct answer and a quarter mark (0.25) is deducted for each incorrect response, emphasizing accuracy. Admission is granted based on the rank secured in the AMUEEE, followed by a centralized counselling process. The university conducts multiple rounds of counselling to allocate seats to qualified candidates across its various engineering and architecture disciplines.
