Step-by-Step MBA Admission Guide 2026

1

Appear in MAH-CET MBA 2026

Register on cetcell.mahacet.org and appear for MAH-CET MBA (held in March 2026). The exam is 2.5 hours with 200 MCQs covering Logical Reasoning (75), Abstract Reasoning (25), Quantitative Aptitude (50), and Verbal/Reading Comprehension (50). Score is valid for 1 year.

2

For Symbiosis Colleges — Appear in SNAP 2025

SIBM Pune, SCMHRD, SIIB require SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test), held in December. Register at snaptest.org. SNAP is separate from MAH-CET — you need both if targeting Symbiosis + other Pune colleges.

3

Check Results and Calculate Percentile

MAH-CET MBA results are declared in April–May 2026. Your percentile determines which colleges you can target. Use the CollegePune predictor to identify your college options based on your percentile and category.

4

Register on DTE Maharashtra CAP Portal

After results, register on the DTE Maharashtra CAP portal (dtemaharashtra.gov.in). Fill in personal details, upload documents: MAH-CET scorecard, 10th-12th marksheets, graduation marksheet/certificate, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate.

5

Document Verification

Attend document verification at a Facilitation Centre (FC) near you. This is mandatory for CAP participation. Bring original + attested photocopies of all documents. Verification is usually done in May–June 2026.

6

Fill Online Option Form (College Preferences)

The most critical step. Fill up to 300 college-branch preferences in decreasing order of preference. Research each college's cutoff, fees, placement, location. Use the CollegePune comparison tool to finalize your preference list.

7

CAP Round 1 Allotment

DTE releases CAP Round 1 seat allotment in July 2026. If you get a seat, you must pay the seat acceptance fee (₹15,000–₹25,000 for provisional acceptance). You can still participate in Round 2 if you want a better college.

8

CAP Round 2 & 3 Allotment

CAP Round 2 and 3 run in July–August 2026. Each round allows seat improvements (better college/branch). After Round 3, a final spot admission round is conducted for remaining vacant seats.

9

Report to College & Pay Full Fees

After accepting your final allotment, report to the college within the stipulated date. Pay the remaining semester fees. Submit all original certificates for verification. MBA classes typically begin in August 2026.
